Louisville Dentists Give Back a Smile
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Worldwide one out of three women has experienced domestic violence. In October Dr. Vittitow and Dr. Hahn from The Center for Ideal Dentistry in Louisville are donating their teeth whitening services to The Give Back a Smile program.


    /Kentucky News Articles/ - LOUISVILLE, KY, September 25, 2007 - Domestic Violence is rampant in every community. Just about everyone knows someone who has experienced it. Dr. Hahn is on the Board of Trustees for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's Charitable Foundation and has been working hard on getting hundreds of dentists to donate their whitening services in October to the Give Back a Smile program.

"Because more than five million people are affected by domestic violence every year in the United States and Canada, there is clearly a need for a program like Give Back A Smile to help survivors rejuvenate their lives through the caring hands of a local dentist," Christian W. Hahn, DDS, AAACD, Trustee for the Charitable Foundation of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, indicated.

Dr. Vittitow and Dr. Hahn have restored the smiles of several survivors, donating their time and services for this cause.

"Through the Give Back A Smile program, AACD members assist survivors by treating their dental injuries that were sustained from domestic violence, so that they may reclaim their smiles, their self-esteem and, ultimately, with God's help, their lives," commented Charlie W.
