Romance Rings in the New Year
Romance writer Catherine Anderson feels the love from readers for her new book release Star Bright.

MT. STERLING, KY, January 13, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Old fashioned romance is not dead. It's thriving and well as evidenced by the popularity of both the book trailer and novel Star Bright by author Catherine Anderson.
Anderson commissioned a book trailer in November of 2008 that received over 100,000 views collectively over the internet. When asked about the popularity of the video, the executive producer of the video, Sheila Clover English said, "I think it's the season. People want hope and love and to feel good. This is that kind of story."

The video continued to do well in the New Year and the book, released on January 6th has already made it onto the USA Today bestseller list.

The book, which is a romance that is part "Sleeping With the Enemy" (Julia Roberts 1991) and part "Enough" (Jennifer Lopez 2002). The main theme of the novel, however, centers on the relationship between the heroine and her new boss. When her ex husband finds out she is still alive he comes after her and she is forced to face her worst nightmare.

Even through the book has elements of suspense, the love story is the main focus and the main attraction for readers who have come to expect grass-roots romance from Anderson, author of over 20 novels.

Whether or not Anderson's romance novel will be the catalyst for a trend of back-to-the-basics romance novels is yet to be seen, but there's no question that love works for Catherine Anderson.
