New Ideal Dentistry Office Entered in National Healthcare Design Contest
Prospect, KY Cosmetic Dentist Christian Hahn Builds Patient Centered Practice from the Ground Up

PROSPECT, KY, September 22, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Most dental office interiors are ordinary, ho-hum. Cosmetic dentist Dr. Christian Hahn of Ideal Dentistry in Prospect, Kentucky believes that's because they aren't designed with visitor experience in mind.

"Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, evaluates every site design decision by asking whether it will improve the experience of visitors," said Dr. Hahn. "I adopted that same perspective in designing our new dental office."

Dr. Hahn set out to create a contemporary, European-inspired design that was soothing and welcoming. He chose Louisville, Kentucky-based design firm Rowland Design because of its portfolio of exceptional healthcare designs.

"I asked Rowland Design to create an environment that would put visitors at ease," said Dr. Hahn. "Rowland designers Julie Meehan and Jeff McAfree created an open, modern interior that helps people relax and focus on getting the smiles they've always wanted," said Hahn.

"The reception area is open to allow the face-to-face contact that's absent from dental offices that put a frosted glass window between themselves and the people they serve," noted Meehan. "Ideal Dentistry's operatories are larger, equipped with flat screen televisions, and finished in a decor with gentle contours and colors that diminish stress," said Meehan. "Even the check out desk is screened for extra privacy," added McAfree.

Ideal Dentistry's new office opened on February 17, 2009. Based on positive reactions from Dr. Hahn's clients, Rowland Design and Dr. Hahn decided to enter the project in a national design competition sponsored by The Center for Health Design and Contract magazine. The winners will be announced at the Healthcare Design '09 Conference in October in Orlando, FL.
